Time well spent

Again, I’ve been slacking on posting the photos of the day every day here, so instead, I think I’ll do a weekly batch rather than try to update every day. Which apparently is proving hard. So here’s the few days that have been missed here so far.

The frosted glass in my porch lit by the street lights outside. I liked how this turned out in the end. It’s a little dark and I’m not sure you can actually see the frosted glass!

Waiting in the car park for my pilates lesson. This lovely view I have is Northwick Park Hospital, very close to the old family home and in Harrow. I’ve spent nearly a week there because I really wasn’t very well and spent far too many times visiting relatives there.

Also fun fact – it was the hospital where there was the controversial drug trials which were really quite tragic. Good times.

What Heathrow almost looks like to me from my home. Way, far off in the distance as some sparkly lights. Obviously I’ve made more of an effort to have them out of focus here. A little bit of sparkle. If it wasn’t so foggy tonight there might have been a bit more sparkle. Will have to try again another day.

Think my bokeh still needs some practice!

Not a brilliant shot for today, but it’s Friday and I was tired and finding inspiration when it’s pitch black is hard. So mental note – take more pictures in the daylight!

This shot is a street light across the road from me, taken when it just started snowing again. Only lightly, but … follows on the cold theme we’ve been having here in the UK for the past week or so.
